Updated: We have compiled a roundup of all error codes in 3uTools/iTunes.
Previously 3uTools released a post “iPhone iPad iPod iTunes Errors with Solutions”, which we have introduced some Error Codes in iTunes simply, and you can view this post with more detailed solutions for Apple iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch with iTunes errors.
We posted about exiting Recovery mode on 3uTools before. Now it is about exiting DFU mode. It's hard to tell whether your iPhone is stuck in DFU Mode or simply freezes at the black screen. You can easily check the status of your device on 3uTools. If you're in trouble with DFU Mode or can not exit DFU mode manually, this post is a helper for you. This 3utools on this iphone 6 got -2 error, stuck at 19%, 3utools was waiting for it to boot up properly but boots direct to DFU again after 3utools prompted it to reboot to start loading OS from manually put into DFU mode), Every time I reboot or turn it back on after if I disconnect battery) was originally bootlooping.
Mar 19, 2016 How to Fix iPhone Stuck in Recovery Mode Loop Using iRecovery (Without Restoring) - Duration: 6:55. IDevice Central 296,333 views. Yes-a lot of stuck on Apple logo at iOS 13 update, especially if the update was for a phone from an earlier iOS-i.e it can't jump from 11 to 13. I would expect that Apple will issue an update in the future to solve otherwise they will have more bricks and pissed off people than anyone.
As we received many users' required, we also made a tutorial about fixing the error -1/1 when you restore or upgrade in iTunes/3uTools for you :
Error 1 or -1
This may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow Troubleshooting security software issues, and restore your device on a different known-good computer. If the errors persist on another computer, the device may need service.
This device is not eligible for the requested build (Also sometimes displayed as an 'error 3194').
The most useful tip is :
Unplug and replug your iPhone; and try to use the back USB port.
Then, if the issue still exists after you try several times, it could be a baseband issue.
Or maybe it caused by following reasons:
1. Update to the latest version of iTunes.
2. Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue.
3. Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported.
4. Edit out the 'gs.apple.com' redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take effect.( For steps to edit the Hosts file)
5. Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file.
Check for hardware issues if you meet these Error Codes:
If you see one of the errors below, you might have a hardware issue:
- 1, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16
- 20, 21, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, 56
- 1002, 1004, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1667 1669
Here's what to check:
- If iTunes is already open, quit and reopen it.
- Make sure that you have the latest version of iTunes.
- Check for issues with third-party security software.
- Make sure that your USB cable, computer, and network are reliable. Then try twice more to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod.
You could check here directly for more error codes roundup in 3uTools/iTunes. If you still see the error message, you can check for outdated or modified software or contact Apple Support.

My question is exactly the same as this one: http://forums.everythingicafe.com/threads/help-stuck-in-dfu-restore-not-working. 106546/
Heres the copied text:
My Wife's iPad 2 hasn't been used it in over a year, and the battery ran down. I charged it up last night and turned it on. Nothing appeared to happen. No apple logo, nothing. On a hunch I plugged it into my computer, and sure enough iTunes popped up and said the iPad is in DFU mode and needs to be restored.
I don't remember what version of iOS it had, but iTunes wanted to install iOS 7.whatever. I said ok. It downloaded and started extracting. After a while iTunes said waiting on the iPad. The computer made a few connect and disconnect sounds. The screen on the iPad stayed totally blank. Then the apple icon popped up with a grey progress bar. The bar never starts to fill with white. I left it for a few hours and came back. Still no progress.
I made sure iTunes was up to date and restarted with a different usb port and cable. No luck.
So I tried it on my Wife's computer. No luck there either. Same thing, DFU mode, extract iOS 7, apple icon with bar, but the progress bar never starts.
I am going to leave it overnight and tomorrow during work, but I don't have high hopes.
Anyone have any suggestions?
